Katzelkraft - Be Batman

Hi everyone, 

Today is Katzelkraft day!!!! ...always a good day for me :))

It seems to be a good day for this dog too.....

To create the clouds in the background I used a handmade mask and Salty Ocean (Distress Oxide). The ground I sponged with Mowed Lawn (Distress Oxide) and Tranquil Tide (Stampin'Up). Splattered with water drops and made some strokes with just the ink pad to suggest grass. 

I then stamped the dog - once on the card and once on white bristol paper. Colored it with alcohol ink markers and cut it out. Before I glued the dog on, I drew the "Batman" shadow and colored it with alcohol ink markers. I could have made a one layer card but thought of it too late.

Finally, I stamped the Batman quote and adhered the panel to a blank card.

If you look closely you'll notice that I changed the dog's eyes and added a tongue.

Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory

The movie for this month is

Mr. Popper's Penguins

Ice, Snow, Arctic, Winter ...but first and foremost: Penguins!!!

What a fun theme! I pulled out almost all of my penguin stamps for this card!

... and as you can see, they didn't brave the cold!  Ha ha ha

I stamped and masked everything in order until the scene was complete. Then I colored penguins, furniture and plant with alcohol markers. The walls and floor I colored with watercolors. The walls seemed a little blank to me, so I masked off all the stamped areas and the floor again, took a stencil and stenciled stripes with Chipped Sapphire (Distress Oxide). I liked it much better that way! 

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock, cut it to size and adhered it. 

Lots of masking and coloring on this card! I actually don't have time to make such elaborate cards, but this scene had been on my mind for days and it was huge fun to create it. I hope you like it as much as I do.

Katzelkraft - Welcome...

Hello everyone!

I'm back with my weekly Katzelkraft inspiration!  A very simple card, made with the Buildings and Numbers from the new release.

My time is currently booked by my grandkids, so it had to go quickly! :)

For the background of the card I used 4 of the Number stamps and all the Buildings except the smallest one - it ended up in the circle. I colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is composed of an embossed part and a die cut part. The panel is backed with black cardstock and glued to a blank card.

Katzelkraft - Les Dodus ATC

Hello everyone!

It's Tuesday and I'm back with new Katzelkraft creations. 

For today I made 4 ATCs with the "Les Dodus" stamp set.... (see below)

I created backgrounds with Distress Oxide, Brusho, Izink opaline pigment and two different stencils and then just stamped the images and sentiments.

I backed two of them with purple cardstock and the other two with black cardstock.

New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we are playing with 

Red and Green

Here's my card to go with it!

These fun stamps arrived recently and I took the opportunity to ink them up right away! 

Masked a bit to get a one layer card and then colored the images with alcohol markers. 

Stamped the sentimet on tiny labels and glued them next to Santa. 

Finally, I sprized some green ink on the background and colored a black frame around the card.

I hope you like the way I used the colors and hope you have fun with them too!

'Tis the season

 

Hello everyone!

Throughout September I have the pleasure of hosting the challenges at 52CCT. 

It's starting to get cold in the north. I've imagined polar bears and/or penguins on your cards - one or both of them, it's up to you!

I used stamps from different companies and did some masking to create this one layer card in long size.

 The sledge is from Stampin'Up, the mountains and penguins from Scrap Plaisir (now Crea-Plaisir), the polar bear is a gift from a friend. Sentiment, fir and snowflake are from Lora Bailora.

I sponged the background with Distress Oxide "Mermaid Lagoon" and stamped some snowflakes with the same ink.  The images are colored with crayons, alcohol markers, glitter gel pens and micro pens. Hope you like it.
