Hiver ...sous son beau manteau blanc

Hello everyone!
We're celebrating Polar Bear Day at the Day of the Month Card Club...

Currently I am a bit in gel print fever! LOL
As I did for Saturday's card, I again used a print I made with my recently acquired gel print plate.
Am really amazed by the floppy thing and the fantastic patterns you can make with it!

Before I adhered the stamped and cut out animals, I added a few snowflakes and swirls to the background.
For the "snow" at the bottom, I sprayed watercolor paper with water, scrunched it up, then unfolded it slightly and dried it with the heat gun. I pasted two pieces onto the card, coated them with some glue and sprinkled glitter on top. Unfortunately you can't see it at all in the photo!
After everything was well dry, I cut the panel to size and backed it with beige cardstock. For the sentiment I stamped the word "Hiver" on white paper, cut it out and glued it on. It says:

Winter
under its beautiful
...white coat!

The most wonderful time...

Hello everyone!
New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
This week we would like to see the following colors on your cards

Green - White - Gold

I embossed gold cardstock and splattered it with gesso. For the background, I used a print I made with my recently acquired gel printing plate. It's really great what beautiful and interesting patterns you can make with that floppy thing!
I stamped the trees (Katzelkraft) and embossed one of them in white. Tore the paper across and pasted it to the already embossed gold panel. Then I trimmed it, pasted it to a blank card and added the embossed sentiment with foam pads. Hope you like it

Have Fun!

Hello...

Hi everyone!
I am back with a new polaroid for the POLAROID POPS CHALLENGE
Today I made No. 2 - Wing for things

I recently treated myself to a gel printing plate and of course
I had to use a piece of one of the backgrounds I made.

As with the first Polaroid, I stamped the images on Bristol paper, colored them with alcohol markers, cut them out and pasted them on the background. Again, I made the girl's dress using the paper-piecing technique, but this time added a lace ribbon at the bottom with white gel pen.
Since I don't own a single stamp from  AALL & Create with wings, I had to approach the theme in a different way.
On set #493 "All heart" is a heart with a stem whose leaves look like half a pair of wings. I stamped them back to back, and thus got a pair of wings. I pasted these wings onto the cut out flowers that are now buzzing around the little girl - she even caught one of them! Isn't that great!!!
Oh, I almost forgot.... I painted the wings with Wink of Stella, which unfortunately you can't see very well in the photo.

Hope you like it.

Katzelkraft - Unsupervised...

Hello everyone!
It's Katzelkraft day and I am back with a new inspiration :)
No Christmas card today....
This time I played with the fun frogs from the set "GRENOUILLES".

I wonder what he's up to....

I sponged and stenciled the background and the bottle with Distress Oxide inks. Stamped the frog, masked it and stamped the bottle and the mosquitoes. Colored them with alcohol markers. Stamped the stopper and the label, colored and fussy cut them and pasted them on. Stamped the sentiment, cut it into pieces and pasted it on as well.
Note: The frog does not exist in this form. I extended his leg with that of another frog.

Hope you like that little scene! - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Les joies de la neige...

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club! This month we are celebrating

Polar Bear Day
International Polar Bear Day is an annual event celebrated every February 27,
to coincide with the time period when polar bear moms and cubs are sleeping in their dens, and to raise awareness about the conservation status of the polar bear. Source

I applied Distress Oxide Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire to Atcetate, sprayed it with water and then smooshed it onto the top half of a white Bristol paper.
After it dried, I stamped the mountains and the bear. Stamped the bear a second time on Bristol paper, colored the image and fussy cut the bear, basket and bunny. Stamped the bear's sweater on patterned paper and cut it out.
Glued the pieces on and stamped the sentiment.
To add texture to the scene, I embossed the bottom area and splattered the card with white acrylic paint.
I then cut the panel to size and pasted it to a blank card whose edges I had previously inked with Chipped Sapphire. I added spikes to the bicycle wheels to help them move forward in the snow.... 😄

Actally, I can

Hi everyone!
Today something completely different than usual...

I got for Christmas a few stamp sets from AALL & Create.
These cute little dollies and their whole environment had been on my mind for a while now.

I set my mind to join the POLAROID POPS CHALLENGE Challenge.
Let's see if I can do them all. The challenge runs until March 31, so there is still some time...

Best I start with #1: Sitting down

I stamped the images on Bristol paper, colored them with alcohol markers, fussy cut them and pasted them on the stenciled background. I made the girl's dress using the Paper Piecing technique.
The Polaroid is 107 x 88 mm and has a 79 x 79 mm image.
The stamps I used are: #479; #358; #480;
Stencil: #117

Hope you like my new addiction...

Snowflake Wishes

Hi everyone!
Ready for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge?
This week we have a sketch to challenge you (see below)

I applied Distress Oxide Seedles Preserves, Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio to Atcetate, sprayed it with water then smooshed it on white cardstock. Let it dry and made a few splotches with Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire.
Added stars using a stencil and texture paste and sprinkled with glitter.
I die cut the snowflakes from glitter cardstock and the labels from white cardstock. Stamped the labels with snowflakes, sponged them with light yellow and framed them. Pasted the pieces on and stamped the sentiment. Hope you like it.

Katzelkraft - La beauté de la nature

Hi everyone!
It's Katzelkraft day and I am back with a new inspiration :)
Today with flowers and Birthday wishes...

Used the flower of the "CHAMPS DE CITROUILLES" stamp set
and stamps from the "NATURE ET FLEURS" set, designed by Isabelle.

I applied beige ink on a sheet of acetate, sprayed it with water and applied it to a piece of white paper and repeated this step with light blue ink. After drying, I splattered the remaining blue ink onto the paper - let it dry again, then stamped the circle. First with a background stamp, then with doily pattern. I added some fonts and circles around the doily - and a large letter. Stenciled some strips and drew a line with a black permanent pen.
I stamped the half flower twice, colored it (watercolors) and cut it out. Since it don't have a stem, I used one from another flower. Stamped it twice with green ink and then traced the outlines with a black permanent pen. I glued the two flower halves to the stems and added the two words Happy and Birthday - I removed the B from the latter, since I had already stamped the capital "B" for that purpose.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration!! ;)
