Merry Christmas

Hi everyone!

New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. 

The theme of this week is

Christmas Florals 

Stamping, masking, stenciling are the ingredients for this simple card. I colored the floral arrangement with alcohol markers, masked everything and stencilled the background. Added a few splatters of black ink to the card. The sentiment is gold embossed.

OLD

Hi everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory. 

The movie for this month is:

OLD

This month we're sticking to the movie title. 

So you can use old stuff and/or craft something that looks old or aged. 

(old stamps, old designer papers, vintage, but also skeletons and skulls)

For this challenge I used an age-old 3-D image. These images started my passion for card making a good 15 years ago, so yes, they are very very old! Now I am hopelessly addicted to stamping for over 10 years, but I still have a few of these 3-D images left.

I made the background with acrylic paints and color-wise I was more or less inspired by the movie poster. The sentiment is computer generated. It says: Wine, juice with more life experience

Hi everyone!

A little reminder about our "International Day of Friendship" challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club...

As with the last challenge, I also used two of the cute walrus from Stampin'Up for this one. 

I stamped them on Bristol paper and colored them with alcohol markers.

For the waves I cut a strip of paper wavy and used it as a mask. Cut out the fish and glued them on. The tips of the waves are traced with fine liner. The sentiment comes from the same set. Hope you like it.

Light Bulb Moment

Hi everyone, 

I'm back with a new new Katzelkraft creation. 

I stamped the light bulb, masked it and stenciled the background. I started with Cracked Pistachio, then placed the stencil over the colored area and applied Mermaid Lagoon - both Distres Oxides. I removed the mask, stamped the succulents into the bulb and colored them with Alcohol Markers. The bulb I colored with watercolors. Stamped the chain to hang the bulb, masked it again and splattered the card with black ink. The sentiment is embossed on black cardstock and cut into labels. To bring depth to the image, I added a soft shadow next to the light bulb.

Hi everyone!

New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. 

This week is a color challenge and we would like to see the following color combo on your cards

RED - WHITE - AQUA

Using an old credit card, I applied white and turquoise acrylic paints to Bristol paper. With the credit card and a piece of corrugated cardboard, I tried to add texture into the still wet colors.  After drying, which was very quick, I cut the part of the sheet I liked best to use as a background. Stenciled the stars with texture paste, spritzed the panel with white ink and adhered washi tape to the left edge.

The bird and the fir trees I recycled from the washi tape packaging. The second fir had advertising print, so I flipped it over and covered it with washi tape. The ground is made of torn washi tape. The sentiment is from Lora Bylora.

Friendship

Hi everyone!

We have a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club! This month we are celebrating 

International Day of Friendship

Grab your phone, jump on your bike, or fire up the Playstation for old times sake, it's International Day of Friendship! The day of the year where friends from all over the world show appreciation for one other and remind you why they're your very best bud. Whether you want to send a card, shoot over a text message, create a photo collage on Facebook, or go and see them in person, there is a way for everybody to celebrate International Day of Friendship.

These little balls are just too cute - aren't they?

I stamped the budgies on the card and masked them. Covered the card leaving a square that I sponged with Peacock Feathers (Distress Oxide). Colored the cuties with alcohol markers and dabbed the edges of the panel with Peacock Feathers, before pasting it on the blank card. The sentiment is from Stampin'Up.

Katzelkraft - O Sole Meow

Hi everyone, 

This week I have been playing with older stamps from Katzelkraft.

Big cat 06 serenades big cat 01, but from the looks of it, it seems to sound more like cat whining. 😹

I stenciled the wall with Fired Brick (Distress Oxide) and colored the joints with alcohol markers. Masked the wall and sponged the sky and the ground - Mermaid Lagoon (Distress Oxide) and Crumb Cake (Stampin'Up).

The tree behind the wall is from Stampin'Up and colored with alcohol markers. The little bird belongs to it. 

Grass and flowers are from the new "Cats on books" set. I stamped a few behind and in front of the wall and colored them with alcohol markers as well. 

The cats and trash cans I stamped on Bristol Paper, colored with alcohol markers and cut them out. Adhered them, stamped some more grasses and colored the shadow areas. Finally, I stamped the "O Sole Meow" with alphabet stamps.

But that's not all! 

This card is my contribution to the art project "Katzentheater" at Heindesign, so of course I embellished the back of the card as well. The quirky cat from the "Pabos - Aviateur" set is sitting on a overturned trash can, and there are two little cats sitting on the stamp as well. I colored this side with colored pencils. -- You guessed it, it's all about cats! 😺

Hello everyone!

Ready for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown? 

This week we have a sketch for you (see below)

I used a sheet of bristol paper as a backing and adhered two strips of washi tape. Colored the cute stamp from Craft Emotions with alcohol markers, cut it out, backed it with a die cut circle and stuck it on with foam pads - Such a cute pair, don't you think? 

Finally, I stamped the border and the sentiment. Voilà, a quick and easy Christmas card! Hope you like it!
