Love is in the air...

Today starts a new challenge at the Dream Factory

The movie for this month is

Squared Love

Valentine's Day, Love, Hearts, romantic

Katzelkraft is always on my mind when it comes to crafting.... 

The leftover background of this card was the size of an ATC and the cute dog from the Dainius collection also fit on an ATC. So the base was in place! 

I stenciled hearts with Chipped Sapphire (Distress Oxide) on the left half and stamped the background designs as well as the dog. Stamped the dog again on Bristol paper, colored it with alcohol ink markers, cut it out. 

I sponged the edges of the card with Chipped Sapphire and adhered the dog. The bone with the big bow is from the set "Les Chiens". I colored it with alcohol ink markers and cut it out. I cut an opening in the dog's mouth and stuck the bone in. Finally, I stamped a suitable sentiment from Stampin'Up.

Hi everyone!

New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. 

This week we want you to use these colors

Brown - Silver - Turquoise

This card was quite simple to create because I had Béatrice's beautiful Christmas card as inspiration next to me. 

As you can see, I stayed pretty close to the original.

On a background stenciled with trees, I sprinkled Blue Brusho Pigments on one half and spritzed with water. 

Once dry, I embossed the snowman in silver, masked him and splattered brown ink on the card. 

The sentiment I stamped first in brown and then embossed it slightly shifted in white.

Hi everyone!

A little reminder about the Squirrel Appraciation Day challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club...

I stamped all the animals, colored them with alcohol ink markers, and cut them out. 

I created the background with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey and Mowed Lawn and spritzed with water. I stamped some confetti and a garland of nuts in the top area. Along the green line I stamped grass and some mushrooms, then added the animals. 

I die cut the word "Birthday" from black cardstock and adhered it. I stamped the word happy on a small piece of paper and attached it next to the squirrel. Last but not least I stamped "From all of us". Hope you like the little gang.

Katzelkraft - Who left the bag of idiots open?

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft project. Another ATC with one of the cute dogs from the Dainius collection.

I trimmed a piece of gel print from my stash to ATC size. 

Then I stamped the dog and grass on the ATC. I stamped the dog again on Bristol paper, colored it with alcohol ink markers, cut it out and added it to the ATC. I stamped the grass again and finally heat embossed the sentiment and backed the ATC with black cardstock.

Christmas in the heart

Hi everyone!

Ready for another year of 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenges? 

Nothing has changed, as usual we start the first week with a sketch.

I dabbed some Salty Ocean (Distress Oxide) on a sheet of acetate and spritzed it with water. I put the acetate on the Bristol paper and spread the ink over the paper. My background was created!

To implement the sketch, I chose three pre-cut images and a strip of patterned paper, and finally stamped a Stampin'Up quote on the strip. Hope you like it.

Today starts a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club! 

This month we are celebrating the

Squirrel Appreciation Day

On this day we celabrate our bushy-tailed friends and all the good they do! 

I stenciled trees onto a Distress Oxide colored Bristol sheet and cut it to the size of an ATC. 

I then stamped the squirrels and foliage, colored them with alcohol markers and cut them out. 

Stamped a branch and the sentiment onto the ATC and adhered the squirrels and foliage.

The ground is made of several small scraps of washi tape.

Katzelkraft - Wheelwork

Hi everyone! 

I am back with a new Katzelkraft creation - Today with a touch of steampunk.

Time never stops running! 

That gave me the idea to create a New Year's card with gears. Hope you like it!

For the background I chose a gel print from my stash. I liked the pattern and the turquoise blue. 

I arranged the gears so that they more or less interlock. To do this, I had to do a little masking in some places to make them fit together! I embossed all the gears with clear embossing powder, which made the black stand out better.

Next, I die cut gears from silver cardstock, colored them with alcohol ink markers and added them. The hole parts of the gears I glued to the centers of the stamped gears.

Lastly, I stamped and embossed the sentiment, colored it with Distress inks, cut it into individual words and added them. I used a black fineliner to draw two lines along each of the labels.

2023 I colored with a silver glitter gel pen. The 2 that falls, I colored gray and aged it a bit. That's it!
