As Free As The Ocean

Hello everyone!
As you probably know, on my blog every 15th and 30th of the month is dedicated to the Dream Factory.
It's time again, today a new challenge starts. For the month of July, we have chosen the movie

"Aquaman".
Underwater world, fishes, sea, ships, lighthouse, beach, shells, mermaids.......

Dive into the cool water and enjoy this refreshing theme with us!

I used my brand new stamps from Stampin'Up, which I got last week, and I really love how the card turned out!
In order:
I created the background with Distress Oxide inks on a beautiful textured watercolor paper. I splashed water on the panel, let it soak in a little and then soak up the excess with a paper towel.
I stamped some aquatic plants, the large coral behind the rock and the school of fish directly on the panel. The whale, the small red corals, the starfish, the jellyfish and a few more aquatic plants were stamped on white paper, coloured with markers and then fussy cut.

As for the rock, I wet a piece of grey cardboard, squeezed it and then slightly unfolded it, keeping bumps and hollows. To go faster, I dried it with the hot air gun, then I sponged it with different inks, until I was satisfied with the result.
I stuck all the fussy cut parts on the panel and wrote the sentiment. And finally I put some air bubbles right above the whale.

Have fun with the challenge!!

  10. So glad you did add this to Time Out-it is such a peaceful scene. And the way you have created the background adds a fab texture and then adding all these sections to make up the scene-just so creative. I especially love the tiny detail of the water bubbles above the whale-super touch. Thanks for joining Time Out x
