What do you think of my catsharks? Totally cute, right?? 

I found the images on Shutterstock, copied them by hand and transferred them to the card. I colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is handwritten. As a little extra, I added a narrow strip of washi tape at the bottom.

Katzelkraft - They said...

Hello everyone!

Tuesday is my Katzelkraft day. My card for this week is made with one of the adorable "Les Lapins" stamps from the new release! These little fellows are so cute, I couldn't resist making another card with one of them. 

Here you can see last week's one.

I stamped the bunny and the carrot bundle, colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out.

I stenciled the bottom part of the background with green. To hint at the sky, I pressed blue Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of acetate, splashed water on it, placed it on the card, and then dragged it across the card to spread the color. Want to see the process - click and watch the video

I adhered the bunny and carrots to the card and added a narrow strip of washi tape to the bottom. Ah yes, the bunny got glasses and a hat too! (both from "Les drôles d'accessoires" set) The sentiment is computer generated.

Hello everyone!

Today starts a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we have a   

Tic, Tac, Toe

I chose: Fake stitching, Pattern paper, and Nativity the from the Tic Tac Toe. 

I cut a large sheet of design paper into 6 parts so I can use them as backgrounds for 6 of my cards. (It's not always easy to use these papers with large patterns on cards, but it works well for some.)

I die cut a circle from the design paper, adhered the stamped and uncolored nativity scene behind it, trimmed the panel, and then did fake stitching around the edges. 

"Silent Night" was already a part of the design paper. I die cut it with the same die as the circle, trimmed it and placed it inside the circle. This gave me the ground for the scene. 

I heat embossed the sentiment in gold on vellum and attached it to the panel. 

Finally, I adhered the panel to a white blank card. Hope you like it.

Katzelkraft - Hello

Hello everyone!

It's Tuesday and that means I have a new Katzelkraft creation for you - made with the adorable "Les Lapins" stamps from the new release!

Too cute this little bunny, isn't it? - Just like his friends!

I combined him with two of the insects from an older Katzelkraft edition. I stamped the creatures onto the card, masked them, and then sponged the background with Distress Oxide inks. Was a little fiddly because of the small parts, but it worked!

I stamped the flower pot a second time, colored it and cut it out. Slit both hands of the bunny, unfolded them, attached the pot and then glued the hands back. Added some liquid pearls to the flower pistils.

I used a few stamps from other brands to add the grass, tiny bees and sentiment.

New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. This week we want to see

Gnomes

on your cards

This little gnome is from Stamping Bella. He has just drunk his milk and is now taking a little nap.

I colored and cut him out, and then glued him to the background made of design paper, backed with black glitter foil. Here is another Gnom card using the same design paper.

I die cut and added a few stars to give the scene a little more interesst. As for the sentiment, one part is embossed on a tiny label and attached with foam pads and the other part is stamped directly on the card. Hope you like my Gnome!

Katzelkraft - Homme libre ...

Hello everyone!

It's Tuesday and I'm back with a new Katzelkraft creation - made with stamps from the new release!

Today I used the beautiful "Bord De Mer" stamps.

I stamped and masked the images and then sponged the sunset for my background with orange, yellow and blue ink. 

I colored with alcohol markers, then finished by stamping the birds and the sentiment. 

It says: Free man, you will always cherish the sea

I found the cute shark on Pinterest and copied it by hand. The background is made with watercolors. The sentiment, where I replaced the "smile" with thick, hand-drawn letters, is from Katzelkraft! The shark, as well as the letters, are colored with alcohol markers. I stamped small fish banks and coral here and there.

Hello everyone!

It's time for a little reminder of our current challenge at Day of the Month Card Club. The theme is

Everyone has that one close friend, the one you want to do fun and silly things with.... 

....and if there's more than one, it's even better!!!

How about a fun scooter ride for three, with an umbrella as a sail?! 😁

Lots of masking, sponging, stenciling and coloring for this card - I really like how it turned out!

I used exclusively Katzelkraft stamps - they are really made for this kind of fun! Except for the lying rat and the umbrella, all are stamped directly on the card. - The umbrella idea only emerged after I sponged the background...

The quote is a cocktail of stamps from different manufacturers and washi tape. Hope you like it!
