BOO 👻👻

Hello everyone!
I want to remind you about our current challenge at the Dream Factory
The movie and theme for this month is

Ghostbusters

Maybe you're still looking for some inspiration to make Halloween cards!!?
...if not for this Halloween, then for the next one! ;)

This one was quite easy to make!
I took black cardstock and painted ghost silhouettes on it with a thick brush and white acrylic paint. Acrylic paint dries very quickly and so I didn't have to wait long to give them eyes and mouth with a black permanent marker.
The stars I stamped with white ink. The letters for "BOO" were die cut twice and pasted on top of each other slightly offset. The sentiment is heat embossed on vellum and attached with double sided tape.
I backed the panel with purple cardstock and sandwiched a few scraps of green cardstock here and there as a little allusion to the Slimer.

Happy Halloween
and have lots of fun with the challenge!!

Katzelkraft - very relaxed

Hello everyone!
Oh gosh, I am so excited - I got my new Katzelkraft stamps! They are so beautiful and I wish I could use them all at once....
Here is my weekly Katzelkraft card with stamps from two of the new sets!

After creating the background with Distress Oxide, I stamped all the images directly onto the card.
Pabo and the mushrooms (left in the picture) I lightened with bleach to color them afterwards with alcohol markers. Unfortunately, that didn't work so well this time because the blue colors were a bit recalcitrant and resisted the bleach. The pumpkin didn't look very nice after coloring either! I had no choice but to stamp the whole images again on white paper. I colored them with alcohol markers, fussy cut them and then pasted them over the ones on the card. Stamped some grass and the branch. The spider and its web, the bat and the cat are stamps from Stampin'Up. - I think they fit pretty well with this fun little Halloween scene.
The sentiment is composed of two different sentences. Maybe it doesn't make sense, but I liked it that way.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Let it snow - Pop-up card

Hello everyone!
New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
For the next two weeks we want you to make a

Pop-up card

At first glance a relatively simple card - (the surprise is inside) :))
but still requires a little time because of the pop-up mechanism.
Actually I wanted to make a video tutorial for it, but unfortunately I didn't have enough time. I'll do that another day, I promise! ;) - Instead I added a short video to show how the mechanism works. (see below)

card opened

I used two small panels from a design paper pad - one for the big sentiment and a winter landscape for the inside of the card. The sentiment is backed with silver glitter paper and pasted onto the embossed cover-sheet. I also pasted design paper from the same pad behind the mechnism.
The winter landscape image is backed with purple cardstock and pasted onto the mechanism. To the left of it I stamped a strip with purple snowflakes. I also added a small stamped sentiment to the mechanism. The cute reindeer from cats on appletrees are stamped, fussy cut, glued on and backed with acetate for more stability. Hope you like it.

...and this is how the mechanism works.

Have Fun!!

Katzelkraft - There's no place like home

Hello everyone!
I'm back with a new Katzelkraft inspiration. Today in the simple way...

Wanted to do something simpler, and it nearly turned into a CAS card.

I created the background with a homemade stencil and made some splattern with bleach. Stamped the tiny house, embossed it clear, colored it with alcohol markers and fussy cut it. I adhered the house and stamped the tree and the grass. Heat embossed the sentiment on black cardstock and mounted it with foam tape.
(The tree is from an older Katzelkraft stamp set that is no longer available)

Wanna see the video of how the card was made?

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Merry Christmas!

Hello everyone!
Christmas is just around the corner - and Christmas cards are needed every year to wish our families and friends a Merry Christmas! If you're a regular participant of the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenges, you can be sure that you'll have no shortage of cards at the end of the year!
But, let's not stop - the year isn't over yet!!! - Here's this week's new challenge!

Snow Globes

The snow globe is made on a base of two circles. The white one is stamped with animals from cats on appletrees and firs from Scrap Plaisir. The second one is die cut from a piece of design paper. I stamped a black base, cut it out and glued the pieces together to make the snow globe.
The large sentiment underneath is also cut from design paper - I garlanded it left and right.
All the pieces found their place on an embossed card, on which I colored some of the snowflakes with purple crayon.
Really a very easy-peasy card! - Hope you like it.

The Moose Wonderful Time of the Year

Hello everyone!
I have the honor to be guest designer this month for the  Bastel-Traum Challenge!
The theme for October is: Christmas (see the picture below)

I decided to use a super cute stamp set from My Favorite Things (Merry Christmoose),
that I got from a friend a long time ago.
I slightly sponged the background with Distress Oxide Iced Spruce and a brick wall stencil. Used Crumb Cake from SU for the bottom and Distress Oxide Wild Honey for the corners. Stamped the images, colored with alcohol markers, fussy cut them and glued them on. The fir tree is decorated with liquid pearls.
I ended by adding a small strip of black glitter washi tape at the bottom.

Have Fun with the challenge!!

BOO 👻👻👻

Hello everyone!
Today starts our new challenge at Dream Factory
The movie for this month is:

Gh🚫stbusters

The name alone makes you sit up and take notice...
...because who hasn't seen this funny movie or danced to the song of the same name by Ray Parker Jr.?

I stamped bats on black cardstock and heat embossed them.
For the purple stripe, I used several stamps from the same set and stamped them close together.
The slime and ghost are hand drawn, colored with alcohol markers and fussy cut.
The branch and words for BOO are stamped and fussy cut as well. Hope you like my little scallywag!

Have lots of fun with the challenge!!
