Beware!

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

COCO

Anything related to the
Day of the Dead and/or Halloween.

No skulls, no skeletons, no ghosts, and not even well equipped for Halloween in terms of design paper.
What do you do in cases like this? Well, you do your best!
Luckily, I at least had a few pumpkins, a spider, a spider web, and a black cat. That's not too bad for a start... lol
I drew the skull with the candle by hand. It turned out that it's not that difficult to draw a skull :))
I colored in the pumpkin and the skull with the candle using alcohol ink markers. I cut them out and stuck them onto a gel print tag that I found in my stash. I also added half a flower, which I stamped onto designer paper and cut out.
The spider, cat, branch, and spider web were stamped directly onto the tag.
Finally, I stamped the word “ Beware!” and attached a thin cord to the tag.

Never Give Up

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create

The theme is Anything Goes w/optional twist: "Think Pink".
(create something for breast cancer awareness month)

Pink is the color to wear in October...

A few die-cut letters (AVEC), twice the half flower from Katzelkraft, a few splashes of color here and there, a little stenciling and doodling, and all that in pink!
I lightly brushed the edges of the card with Picked Raspberry (Distress Oxide), the same color I used for the letters and for stencilling. The half flowers, I colored with aqua markers and alcohol ink markers.

Hope to see you play along with 613 Avenue Create

Have a nice day!

Happy Birthday - Double Slider Card

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our current Dream Factory challenge, and I would like to briefly remind you about it.

Harald and the Purple Crayon

Anything Goes - In mainly purple.

You can use any color, but  PURPLE  has to be the main one!

Today, something a little less usual from me...

A few days ago, we made a little project in our Stampin'Up group.
By pure coincidence,
the colors of this beautiful floral card perfectly match the theme of the Dream Factory...

So, I would like to remind you of our challenge with this double slider Birthday card.

Here you can see how the thing works ;)

Thanks for stopping by.

And maybe you'd like to join us...

Fly with me

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at the Dream Factory
Our movie for this month is:

Harald and the Purple Crayon

Anything Goes - In mainly purple.

You can use any color, but  PURPLE  has to be the main one!

I had absolutely no idea for this challenge and rummaged aimlessly through my stash, hoping to find some inspiration.
I came across a poorly stamped tree (Katzelkraft) on purple cardstock and two stamp sets whose images could be combined well—an idea began to take shape!
I cut the panel to ATC size. Pasted die-cut and colorfully painted stars and hearts onto the snowflakes that originally adorned the tree, then dotted the swirls with a white Posca pen. I stamped a tiny white text on the left edge of the ATC and drew grass with the Posca pen on the bottom edge. So far, so good!

Next, I colored bird and balloon with aqua markers and glitter gel pens—if you look closely, you can see a slight shimmer in the bird's feathers. ...but unfortunately, not in the balloon.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment and cut it into labels. Cut out the bird and balloon and glued everything on.
...I'm quite happy with the result :))

Hakuna Matata

Hi everyone!
Time for a new challenge at 613 Avenue Create

The theme is Anything Goes w/optional twist: "Lots of leaves".
(create something featuring foliage or paper)

I'm not in the autumn mood yet and wanted something fun for this challenge.
While browsing, I came across this purple cow. It's a leftover from this card I made for a card swap.
First, I brushed the background with Mowed Lawn and Salty Ocean (Distress Oxide). Then I stamped lots of leaves in the area where the cow would later be placed.
I also found a chicken that was already finished and cut out, and placed it on the cow's back. The chicken is looking at an insect that I colored with glitter pens. It shimmers quite nicely, but unfortunately you can't see it in the photo.
Next, I stamped and fussy-cut some flowering plants and tufts of grass and glued them to the bottom—a rather fiddly job, but I like the result.
As a final touch, I added tiny red liquid pearls to the taller blades of grass and then stamped the sentiment.

Hope to see you play along with 613 Avenue Create

Off all the paths you take in life,

make sure a few of them are dirt.

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our current Dream Factory challenge, and I wanted to give you a quick reminder on our film and theme

WILD

This month we want you to be inspired by the movie poster (see below)

...and I really, really was!!!

After more than 15 years, I finally tried my hand at watercolor painting again...

...I ventured to paint the entire poster!

For a first attempt after such a long time without practice, I'm quite satisfied. The only thing I didn't dare to do was to include the girl in the watercolor painting right away—I painted her separately, cut her out, and glued her on.
I stamped a quote from John Muir that I found very fitting onto black cardboard using an alphabet rotary stamp, embossed it, cut it into strips, and glued it on.
