Mermaid Kisses

 Hi everyone!
Ready to go for a new challenge at The Little Things ?.......   GREAT!!!

This month's theme is:
Mermaid and/or Fish
with the option:
Anything Goes

Our challenge blog is all about little things—more specifically, little cards.
Such as ATCs,  ATC coins, tags, Memorydex cards,
Mini Moo cards, bookmarks, inchies, etc.

We hope that the variety of card styles and sizes
will give you plenty of room to create something that suits your personal taste.

This time, I decided to go for a Memorydex card...

I only have one mermaid die, but I didn't really like it. So I had to get inventive.
No sooner said than done!

My mermaid is made up of a stamp from AALL&Create for the top half
and a fish stamp from Paper-Artzy for the bottom half.
I colored her in with alcohol ink markers and cut her out. Then made a slit under her arm to attach the bra, which is made of two die-cut seashells. She also got a little crown.
The back of the Memorydex card is die-cut from purple cardstock and brushed with purple and white ink. The inner section is design paper.
I stamped bubbles on the design paper and lightened the area around the mermaid with white ink.
After that, I added a few die-cut fish and starfish, the mermaid, and finally stamped the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by!
See you at "The Little Things" ;)

Slacking off...

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our challenge at

"The Little Things"

The theme is:
Flamingo and/or Elephant
with the option:
Anything Goes

Remember: The challenge blog focus on small card formats,
such as ATCs, tags, Memorydex cards, Mini Moo cards, bookmarks etc.

There was still a bit of the stenciled paper left over that I used here. Just added another piece of scrap paper to complete the background of my ATC.
As for the image, I combined two stamped images into one. From one of them, I cut out the swim ring and placed the flamingo on it instead of the original cat. Stamped the sun.
To color this, I used alcohol ink markers and acrylic pens (the dots on the swim ring).
Underneath the flamingo, I stamped tiny fish and colored them with glitter gel pens.
To finish the ATC, I embossed half of the quote, stamped the other half, and then glued it along the edge.
...and last but not least, I stenciled some pink circles at the bottom, and that was it!

Thanks for stopping by!

An Elephant Never Forgets...

Hi everyone!

My leftover box is slowly but surely getting too small, so I thought to myself:
Why not make something out of the scraps…

I stamped the elephant onto a piece of scrap paper with a stenciled pattern and cut it out. Lightened the area around the eyes and the trunk with a white crayon, then glued the design onto the scrap piece cut to ATC size. I also added a few strips of washi tape under the elephant’s feet.
I then stamped the quote using letter stamps, heat-embossed it, and glued it along the edge. That’s it!

As you can see in the photos, I use an ATC card cut out of acetate. It really helps me organize the layout of my ATCs. That way, I can immediately see how and where to place the stamps, paper, and so on. I can stamp, paint, or draw on it without worrying that I'll ruin anything.
I also use this method for bookmarks, Mini-Moo's, and other small card formats.

Thanks for stopping by!
See you at "The Little Things" ;)

Freshly Picked

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our challenge at

"The Little Things"

The theme is: Anything Goes

The challenge blog focus on small card formats,
such as ATCs, tags, Memorydex cards, Mini Moo cards, bookmarks etc.

I still have a few strawberry-themed images left.
They're so pretty that I wanted to use one for this ATC, too.
I combined them with stamps from AALL&Creat (spoon), Pinkpaislee (vintage background),
and Studio Light (hearts and checkered pattern). The spoon I stamped on acetate,
cut it out and stuck it next to the cup of strawberries.
I assembled the word “Strawberries” using stamped and cut-out letters (AVEC).
“Freshly Picked” is computer generated.

Sardines à l'huile

Hi everyone!
Ready to go for a new challenge at The Little Things ?.......   GREAT!!!

This month's theme is: Anything Goes

Our challenge blog is all about little things—more specifically, little cards.
Such as ATCs,  ATC coins, tags, Memorydex cards,
Mini Moo cards, bookmarks, inchies, etc.

We hope that the variety of card styles and sizes

Today, I’m sharing an ATC shaped like a can of sardines in oil.
I love sardines in oil, and since I’ve seen several ATC's like this on Pinterest over the past few days, I thought, “Why not?”
I started by rounding the corners of a black ATC background, then glued a smaller, offset card onto it, which I colored with Cracked Olive and Speckled Egg (Distress Oxide) inks.  This gives the impression of a can of sardines in oil.
I glued on the stamped and cut-out fish, which I had brushed with Speckled Egg, Salty Ocean, and Chipped Sapphire (Distress Oxide). I cut off their tails and inserted them between the fish heads to form the opposite row.
To make the lid, I stenciled waves using cutouts. I stamped swirls, a fish, and the word “SARDINES.” -- “A L’HUILE” is handwritten.
I then rolled up the lid, just like on a real can of sardines, and glued it on. I’m pretty happy with the result.

Leonardo da Vinci

Hi everyone!
We're heading into the second half of our challenge at

"The Little Things"

The theme is: Famous People

The challenge blog focus on small card formats,
such as ATCs, tags, Memorydex cards, Mini Moo cards, bookmarks etc.

This time I made a bookmark—inspired by Leonardo da Vinci.

First, I stamped Leonardo's portrait and his drawing onto a sheet of lightly stamped scrap paper,
and then tore them along the outlines.
Next, I stamped the wings onto gold-colored vellum and the mechanism onto paper,
colored them, and cut them out.

I lightly enhanced the colors of the illustration and Leonardo's face with Wild Honey (Distress Oxide).
Glued everything onto the bookmark, a scrap of gel print
onto which I had previously stamped a few numbers and symbols at the top.

As a final touch, I stamped and heat-embossed Leonardo’s name
and attached a string to the bookmark.

From which famous person would you draw inspiration?

MOVIE ⭐️

Hi everyone!
Ready to go for challenge #4 at The Little Things ?.......   GREAT!!!

This month's theme is: Famous People

Our challenge blog is all about little things—more specifically, little cards.
Any card type that is smaller than a standard card (10,5 x 15 cm / 4.1" x 5.9" inch) is okay,
such as ATCs,  ATC coins, tags, Memorydex cards,
Mini Moo cards, bookmarks, inchies, etc.

We hope that the variety of card styles and sizes
will give you plenty of room to create something that suits your personal taste.

Charlie Chaplin (AALL&Create) immediately came to mind as a famous person
and,
the film strip cutting die was just the right size for a slightly different kind of tag.
The stars, ticket, clapperboard and the word MOVIE are part of the die cut set (Deco Time).
I brushed a white light beam on the inner part of the tag and then stamped the quote. Colored Charlie with alcohol ink markers, gave him a little smile, and cut him out. Cut out three travel tickets from a paper pad (Studio Light) and glued everything on. The stars I colored with a gold glitter pen.
I backed the tag with gray cardstock and cut out two of the holes from the film roll at the top to attach the ribbon.
