Let it snow...

Hello everyone!

I'm back with a new card and this new eraser technique that I introduced you yesterday.

I saw this at Papierelle, where there is also a challenge and a full tutorial to it! 

Join in - a cute little snowman stamp is waiting for a lucky winner!

It's so easy to do and requires very little equipment!

No stencil today!

I stuck Washi tape on the edges of the card and sponged the graphite dust on the whole surface. 

With the help of a torn piece of paper I set a few darker accents at the bottom. 

I stamped the images and began to erase the inner area of the snowman. - Look at his belly, he's white now!

After I erased the snowman and the deer clean, it was the snowflakes' turn.

My eraser is like a pen, I pressed and turned the tip of the eraser on the paper and thick, fluffy snowflakes appeared. This worked really well!

After coloring, I fixed with hairspray and added Wink of Stella to the snowman and the snow hills.

Normally it should have been a one layer card but like a fool I stamped the card upside down!!! 

Now I have a two-layer card! hahaha

Who needs snow?!

Hello everyone!
Today I would like to point out a technique that was totally unknown to me until a few days ago! I saw this on Papierelle, my blogger friend Gundi's blog. It's not difficult at all and thanks to Gundi's detailed tutorial, anyone can reproduce it.
There is also a challenge to this technique on her blog - check it out, give it a try and if you link up your card, you might win a super cute snowman stamp!

What you need for this is really minimal: Stamps, ink pads,

a pencil, sandpaper, sponge, eraser, hairspray or some other fixative 

and possibly a stencil and markers.

I used Katzelkraft's three penguins and a sentiment from Stampin'Up for my card. But first I applied the stars using a stencil, and the graphite dust I got by scribbling with the pencil on the sandpaper. 

I stamped the penguins and then erased all that was inside their bodies.

I colored the beaks, the feets and the eyes with felt-tip pens and added the sentiment. 

I used hairspray to fix the graphite dust - otherwise it smears!

I put a cap on the little penguin's head to keep him warm! 😊
Before pasting it on the base card, I colored the edges of the panel by pressing them on a turquoise ink pad.

Hello everyone!
Today I am very excited! - Why? - Because this week I am guest designer at 52CCT!!

I created my card based on the sketch at 52CCT and...

...I absolutely wanted to try my new embossing folder! 

Three quarters of a piece of cardstock (slightly smaller than the base card) are embossed with my new toy! :)) 

....and so that everything goes smoothly, I have already stamped the sentiment before embossing!!! 👍

I covered the unembossed part and sprayed silver shimmer spray on the embossed side (unfortunately not visible on the photo ...even with good eyes), then sponged the edges with gray ink.

I also embossed a strip of turquoise cardstock - this time with a piece of linen fabric, to get that pretty texture that I love so much. - Stamped some stars and snowflakes with Versamark and marked the edges with a quilting wheel.

The Christmas balls are cut from holographic paper and fixed with foam pads.

Christmas is in less than two months  ....maybe you need some more cards! 😉

Vintage Christmas

Hello everyone,
it's me again with another Christmas card! :) ....this time for 52 Christmas Cards Throwdown - Masking.

Like in the old days .....

I mixed stamps of several companies to do this card. Tree (Stampin'Up), cat on the left (Docrafts), cat on the right (Toga) Baubles (Scrap Plaisir). The lady and the sentiment are from a set that I bought on the flea market - I don't know the name of the manufacturer.

To get the little scene, I stamped the two cats first. I masked them and then I stamped the lady, which I also masked, so I could stamp the flowerpot and the tree afterwards.

The Christmas balls were fussy cut after coloring and glued on.

Everything is colored with alcohol markers exept the cats, they are colored with watercolors.

At the end I masked everything again and sprized silver shimmering spray on the card. Unfortunately, this is extremely difficult to photograph and the small sparkling droplets are not visible in the image! ....sorry for!

Gold & Pearls

Hello everyone!
We are the first of the month and that means a new challenge at House of cards!
This month we want Gold and Pearls and/or Colors - (see our inspiration photo below)

....I still need Christmas cards!

It's not often that I work with patterned paper but today I made an exeption! :))

The gray basic color suited well and as all the pattern were white, I just had to color them in the tones that I needed!

I colored the Christmas balls with a gold gel pen and sprinkled them immediately with gold glitter. - On some other patterns I only used pearl pen. The stars are colored with gold gel pen - a few foliages and flowers with colored pencils. The larger snowflakes are decorated with half-pearls!

I stuck the embellished paper on a white card and then glued a golden zig zag ribbon on the edge.

Finally I stamped the sentiment vertically next to the ribbon.

That's what the paper looked like before it met my gel pens, colored pencils, pearl pens, gold glitter etc ......!

Happy Halloween!

Hello everyone!
...just a quick reminder on our current Challenge at the Dream Factory.

You know This month's movie is Happy Family and you can play with monsters, vampires, Frankenstein, werewolves
.... in short, everything that goes with Halloween!

After stamping the spider, I embossed the panel and sponged some black ink here and there on the bricks.
The little monsters are hand-drawn. I colored them with felt-tip pens and fussy cut them. The eyes of the green monster are made with the "BOO" leftovers of my second card
I stamped the bat, fussy cut it, and gave him tiny googly eyes.
Some weeds and a pretty spooky flower with a googly eye grow on the ground.
The green monster sticks on foam pads.
I stamped the Happy Halloween, cut it out, colored the edges with black felt-tip pen and stuck them to the panel.
The panel is glued on a slightly larger white base card with black dyed borders.

The first step on this card was stamping the tree, the castle and the cemetery on white cardstock. 

I added spooky eyes to the tree and around the castle (with Versamark ink) and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder. Then I sponged the background with yellow, orange and purple ink. - You see, the eyes did not take the colors because I clear-embossed them before!

I added a piece of embossed black cardstock and the die cut BOO with the googly eyes at the bottom of the card.

The last step was the bats, I sponged them with a homemade stencil.

Today I play with Muse Christmas Visions, where Muse Lindsay inspires with clean and simple Christmas trees!

Here is my version ....

This card is pretty easy to do!
I die-cut three firs from different papers and added pearl pen dots to the black and the white. - From the patterned paper fir I kept only  the inner part.
I spritzed black ink on the background and stamped the sentiment on a small strip of white paper. I glued the strip with the sentiment and added a white organza ribbon over it. I also added a strip of lace with silvery fibers (or something like that) above the sentiment.
I cut a second panel - a bit bigger than the first and colored its borders with black felt-tip pen. I put both panels together, added the firs and stuck the whole thing on the white base card.

...yes, another Christmas card! 😊 Today I play with 52 Christmas Card Throwdown - Christmas Pets

I think rats are pets .....sometimes even unwanted! - Don't you think so? 

I took one of my Katzelkraft Rats and gave him a Santa hat. The Christmas Tree (Stampin'Up) is embellished with sequins and rhinestones and a star on it's top. The pot in which it stands comes from an Aladine stamp set. 

I colored with alcohol markers. The sentiment is also from Stampin'Up.

I stuck the scene onto an embossed piece of white cardstock and then onto the card.

Voilà!

Hello everyone!
....for days I turned the Twofer challenge back and forth and had no idea,
but today.......

....was a good day!

Little Gorjuss picked crisp apples and made an apple pie for you!
....and I had lots of fun coloring it in using felt-tip pens and alcohol markers.

I stamped the tree, the girl, the sentiment and some leaves on the card. - Everything else was fussy-cut after coloring and glued to the card. (....one apple is still hanging on the tree)!

Originally the basket is a cup cake of which I cut the cake to get the basket.

I slightly sponged the background with blue ink.

And now to the apple pie!

The "apple pie" letters are die cut. 

Eggs, apples and bowl are stamped, everything else is hand drawn. (I cut the bowl a bit smaller to fit it)

To get the gingham in the background, I traced lines with alcohol markers.

After coloring with alcohol markers, I fussy-cut the pictures, stuck them on the card and wrote the recipe with black fine liner.

I do not have any stamp that could fit this theme, so I had to be creative! 

I dropped a few drops of ink on white paper and blew it with a straw.

I stuck googly eyes on each of the spots, and here they are! - Three cute little monsters. Aren't they?

Christmas Greetings

Hello everyone!
Hard to believe that another week has passed!
Time really flies too fast .....and so it happens that I show you another Christmas card today!

I made this card is for the challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.

This week, the keyword is "silver" and I was not stingy with it!

I stamped the background with tiny Christmas images and added some pearl pen dots to the berries. I stuck a piece of aluminum foil on white cardstock and embossed it. I cut a slightly larger piece of turquoise blue cardstock and stuck the embossed piece on it.

I die-cut a star of white corrugated cardboard and another of white cardstock.

I cut out a slightly smaller star from the corrugated cardboard star and another one from white cardstock.

I glued the big star frame to the big cardstock star. I stamped the sentiment on the little white star and stuck it in the star frame. Lastly I inserted thin blue wire between star and aluminum foil.

Yes, it got me! - here is another Christmas card.
I played with the sketch at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown

... and that's what came out!

I kept my card in a clean & simple style.
...So lucky, I found this circle die in my assortment and thought that it would fit very well! - The deer was just the right size and I liked it too.
The strip of patterned paper looked a bit too empty, so I added a die cut star border at each side.
The background is embossed with Pinewood Planks embossing folder (Stampin'Up).
To put the embossed part further forward, I stamped the edges of the base card with a texture stamp and gray ink.

Hello everyone!
Christmas is around the corner and I need to refresh my card stock!
Today I made a card for the Muse Christmas Visions challenge. - Once again I was inspired by Muse Cornelia and I really had fun to CASE her card!

Night falls and slowly it gets dark above the village.

...for the background, I've pretty much stuck to Cornelia's example - because it is soo beautiful! 😊

I colored the background with alcohol markers and then stamped the firs. I die-cut the village and replaced the windows of the houses and the church with colored cardstock. I added the stars with white gel pen. The sentiment is heat embossed.

Hello everyone.
I have to hurry because the challenge at  Christmas Cards Throwdown ends tomorrow!

I have used this stamp already here, but in a slightly different way. 

For this card I cut out the image after coloring and pasted it over the banner. 

The card is not embossed and the banner is different too.

I used my favorit coloring technic - scribbeling with felt-tip pens on an old CD and then use the ink with a water brush.

Hello everyone!
Today I come with the new challenge of House of Cards. For this month, we selected beautiful colors and/or autumn flowers. (See the inspiration photo below)

I wanted to make a thank you card.

.. and here is what came out!

I started by making a flower but admit that I had no idea what I was going to do with it! - Pushed it from one corner to the other and could not figure out how to place her. I took a thin black strip and played with both, the strip and the flower. - Still no idea!
I added a silver strip to the black ...and I liked - a vague idea was born!
I added a bright yellow spot but found it was still too empty! .... a bit of embossing might be nice!?
Said and done! .... but before embossing, I stamped the big Thank You! - after I would surely have trouble! ;-)
To emboss I choose one of the embossing folders that I found at Action some time ago and then sponged the edges with grey ink .... I just loved the result !!
Now I was on the right track! The flower, as well as the stripes got their place.
Finally I stamped a tiny text on the top left - just to balance.

Life is a wonderful adventure

Hello everyone!
Time to remember that we're half-way with our current challenge at the Dream Factory - which means you still have two weeks to entertain with little Heidi, or Peter and his goats, or just a mountain scenery.

... and that's exactly what I did, a mountain landscape.

Because, Heidi went to Frankfurt and Peter and his goats are untraceable! LOL 

I started painting mountains and pastures with watercolors. Then I added the sky, and in a slightly darker blue the lake, which you can see through the firs.
The firs are stamped with Tranquil Tide ink, both from Stampin'Up. I added a little brown to the tree trunks, and some white gel on the mountain peaks - and three birds.

I fussy cut the saying, colored it and then stuck it on the card.

To watercolor, I generally use felt-tip pens with which I scribble on an old CD then I use the ink with a water brush.

Hello everyone!
Not long ago, I won challenge # 19 at Do-Al (l) Kreatives with this card. And not only did I win a prize, but I was also invited to join their team for the current challenge as a guest designer! - Thank you so much Doris and Alex!!

The challenge is based on a bingo grid (see below) where you can choose several combinations, which is pretty cool!

For my part I chose the left column: Dies / Punches + Pink + Flowers

Here is what I created!

The flower consists of die cut hearts from patterned paper and a punched circle. The stem and the leaves are drawn with a black fineliner. The leaves are watercolored with green felt-tip pen. The saying and the text on the circle are from Stampin'Up. Before I stuck the flower panel on it, I stamped the edges of the white base card with black ink and a stamp from a grunge set by Scrap Plaisir.

We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is

Heidi

Mountains, goats, friendships, girls, nature, rural life, family are the keywords for this topic.

Here's what I created.

To start I made the different masks that I needed for this scene - the girl, the animals and the tree trunk.

I stamped the girl, masked it and then stamped the animals. I added the masks of the animals and stamped the tree trunk. Next I added the mask of the tree trunk and then stamped the firs. While the masks were still in place, I sponged the background with sky blue ink and then removed all the masks.

I stamped the mushrooms, the snail and the rabbit and colored them with watercolors. I fussy cut them and stuck them to the scene after coloring the ground.

The girl and the other two animals are also watercolored.

I added the sentiment and glued the panel on a brown base card.

We have a new challenge at House of Cards!

This time we have a Birthday Theme and/or Colors. (see the inspiration photo below)

You can use only the colors or just the topic ....but you can also combine both!! - I tried to use theme and colors...

...and that's what came out!

First I stuck lot of Washi tape all over my card and added a small strip of embossed paper and black Washi tape at the bottom. Then I stamped the word Happy Birthday and the macaroons. After coloring I fussy cut them and pasted them on the card. I cut the card a bit smaller than the white base card and stuck it on top of it. Voilà!

Don't Stop Music #2

Hello everyone!
It's me again, with a second card for the Dream Factory challenge reminder :)
You can see the first one here.

I protected the center of my card with a round punched piece of Washi tape. 

I laid plain paper - in whitch I first cut a hole, then I colored the round surface with black felt-tip pen - .... and added flowing black tracks at the bottom of the disk.

I traced dancers on transparent paper, copied them to the card with tracing paper and colored them in black. - I used the same technique for the words and the mouth! 

Grid and splashes are made with stamps.

This time I made two cards...

For my first card I used a black card. I stamped the whole right side with Birthday Wishes. 

I added a piece of torn and aged note. The guitar is stamped three times, cut out and colored with different colors. The star is die-cut and scribbled with felt-tip pens. The "Don't Stop Music" is stuck with self-adhesive foam pads.

Birthday Wishes...

Hello everyone!
No challenge today :))
I would like to show you a birthday card that I made for my aunt. She loves dogs and had one herself - a clever little guy, who sadly went over the rainbow bridge two years ago...

To create this card, I used 3 of my Katzelkraft dogs. 

I first stamped the dogs on plain paper to make masks with them. With the help of these masks I could then place the dogs and the grass as you see it on the card. I watercolored with Felt-tip pens. 

The balloons are also made with masks. - I sponged them with three different inks and then stamped half of the sentiment on the biggest one. 

.... the second half is stamped under the belly of the streched dog.

The background is gently sponged with light blue ink. 

My aunt loved this card - maybe you love it too.

Hello everyone!

I have some key words for you:  

Music, Dancing, Love, Hip Hop, Ballet, America, Black & White.....

... and of course I have a card too! ;)

I kept it in black and white .... or almost! - Just the arms and legs of the girl got a little color. There are also some stars and a moon.

I scribbled some skyscrapers in the background and watercolored them with black felt-tip pens.

Then I stamped the girl and used the paper piecing technique for her skirt. - That is, you stamp the same image on patterned paper and cut out the part that you want to use and paste it onto the image you want to keep.

To finish I added tiny rhinestones and the handwritten saying.

it's time to make a Christmas card - that's good, at Muse Christmas Visions they ask for that!

I was inspired by the sleeping Santa Claus from Muse Cornelia and thought: why not send him on holiday! 

.....I think he is very thrilled about my idea! 😎

First I sponged the background with two different shades of blue. Then I added sandpaper for the beach. I stamped two coconut palms and between them Santa's underwear on a clothesline. - He did a dive while waiting for his clothes!

I also added a burning sun (to dry the laundry - haha), some white gel pen strokes on the water, shells, grass and a small sentiment. I colored with felt-tip pens.

....this is MUSE Cornelia's card - I had so much fun CASEing it!
