Katzelkraft - You are Amazing

Hi everyone!
It's Katzelkraft day :))
Today's card shows a funny lizard. It comes from one of the eight stamp sets that have recently been released and that you have probably already seen on the Katzelkraft webside and on social media.

As the lizard's belly can be seen, I wanted to place it behind a window.
To do this, I punched an opening in the card cover and glued a sheet of acetate behind it.
I attached die-cut leaves to the left side. The right side is stamped with leaf veins and flowers.
The inside of the card is stencilled with a leaf pattern.

I colored the lizard with alcohol ink markers, cut it out and glued it behind the acetate.
He is lurking on some fat bees, which I stamped with StazOn and colored with alcohol markers.
The sentiment is from the Ataraxia set

Joyeux Noël

Hi everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
I hope you enjoy this color combination....

Purple + Gold  or Silver

I opted for purple and silver and only used die-cuts.
I cut out lots of stars in different sizes from silver glitter cardstock,
which I then put together to form a Christmas tree.
Gosh, that was a fiddly bit of sticking on! ...but I like the result :))

I then lightly brushed white ink around the triangle to highlight the Christmas tree.
On the edges of the panel, I dabbed on a darker purple to get a slight shading.
I die cut the "Joyeux Noël" from a piece of silver card and used it as a trunk.
Trimmed the panel and pasted it on a white blank card.

Have Fun!

Let it snow

Hi everyone!
Today starts a new challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club
This month we are celebrating

 Snow Globe Day
Tag der Schneekugel

I recycled a used up roll of adhesive tape to make this snow globe.
I covered the outside of the roll with washi tape and glued it to a light blue die-cut circle.  I then glued a second circle behind the blue one, adding the back of the base and an eyelet for hanging the ball in between.
To add depth to the wintry scene, I used several layers of self-adhesive foam pads to distance the punched fir trees from each other. - There was enough space for this, as the width of the roll is about 2 cm.
I glued a few die-cut stars in the background and added dots with a white Posca pen. Scattered artificial snow in the ball and closed it with a circle punched out of acetate and a paper ring also punched out.
I attached the second part of the base and decorated it with a narrow self-adhesive silver chain.
Finally, I added the snowman, the snowflake and the embossed sentiment. Attached a small ribbon to the hanger.

Hope you like it :)

Have Fun!!

Let it snow

Hi everyone!
I have the great honor to be guest designer for The Paper Funday Challenges this month.
In case you want to do some crafting and work on your last Christmas cards for this year, this is the challenge for you!
The theme is: Use Snowmen and/or Birds - I'm sure you have plenty of them in your stamp collection......

The sentiment and Christmas trees are stamped directly onto the background, which is made up of two differently embossed pieces and lightly sponged in blue. I colored the fun snowman and his friend the bird (both from Yixuan) with alcohol ink markers, fussy cut them and added them to the card. I brushed the snowman and lower part of the card with wink of Stella - this gives it a nice shimmer, but does not show up well on the photo. Finally, I cut the panel to size and pasted it on a blank card.

I hope you like this. Thanks for stopping by!
...and don't forget to link up your card with The Paper Funday Challenges!

'Tis The Season

Hi everyone,
Today is Katzelkraft day! :))
Are you afraid of snakes? The one on my card might change your mind, because it's one of the cute kind :))
It's one of the six funny snake stamps recently released by Katzelkraft.

I recently saw this kind of folded card on Stempel Spass
my friend Cornelia's blog. That gave me the idea of the skiing snake...
The super simple folding technique creates two small compartments in which you can place beautifully wrapped banknotes, gift cards or another small, flat gift. - You can see how to do it here.

I stamped snowflakes on the lightly blue-sponged background (not really visible in the photo) and glued design paper to the front pocket.
I stamped the snake, colored it with alcohol ink markers and cut it out. The small gifts it is carrying and the scarf are from Craft Emotions. The Santa hat is a sticker. The skis are from the "All mad here" stamp set, but had to be adapted to the length of the snake with a few strokes. I put it all together and adhered it to the card.

I kept the inside very simple. I just used a small Christmas tree and one of the Christmas sentiments from last year's Katzelkraft stamps.  Added liquid pearls to the tree.
I will wrap a few banknotes like presents and put them in the inside pocket next to the Christmas tree.

Hope you like it. - See you next Tuesday with a new Katzelkraft inspiration! ;)

Jingle Bell Croc

Hi everyone!
New Saturday and new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown
As usual in the first week of the month we have a sketch for you. (see below)

Today a somewhat unusual Christmas team has made its way onto my card...
May I introduce: Croc and Crab.

I stamped the animals and the presents, colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out. It was a fiddly job because lot of the pieces were very small.
I die cut a black square and stamped white fir branches on it to form a wreath.
I put Croc and his friend Crab in the wreath. Glued little presents all around the wreath, in Crab's claws and in Croc's mouth.  Added some red liquid pearl dots to the wreath.
I backed the black square with a pink one and glued it to an embossed panel. Stamped the sentiment, cut it into labels and stuck them on. I pasted the finished panel onto a blank card.
