Katzelkraft - For You

Hi everyone!

It's Katzelkraft day again :)) 

Today, it's Renoir's turn - he's such a cute boy, designed by Daniel Torrente. 

He's holding a bouquet of flowers: Flos by Kassa. 

I also used Grunch Textures and Spiral Borders (two older Katzelkraft stamp sets) to set the background.

I colored with alcohol ink markers and aqua markers. The sentiment I cut out from a pad of vellum with printed quotes and stuck it on. Finally, I added a strip of washi tape under Renoir's feet.

Time for a reminder on our current challenge at the Dream Factory

This month we have another French movie:

The Intouchables

It's all about Friendship

My card on this theme is made with stamps from Yixuan. They have some really fun animal stamps, like these frogs. 

I cut out the frogs, water lilies and lily pads and glued them on, everything else was stamped directly onto the card. 

I colored with alcohol ink markers. The sentiment is part of the stamp set. The background is from my stash, it was made with a few dabs of color.

Katzelkraft - Alice

Hi everyone!

It's Katzelkraft day :)) 

I'm back with another card featuring Gena by Daniel Torrente - she's so versatile to use :))

There's also Herbert Hare by Kassa and the Stone fence by Tera Callihan. Stamps from older Katzelkraft stamp sets are also in the mix - Background Halftones Star, Funny Accessories and French Quotes.

The background is from my stash. I only boosted the colors in a few places with Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio (Distress Oxide). 

For the sun, I used half of the Halftones Star and stamped it with Fossilized Amber (Distress Oxide) - I enhanced the rays with black and white markers. 

I put Alice (Gena) on the fence. Herbert Hare is standing on the left of the fence, with an alarm clock next to his feet and glasses on his nose. The characters are partly stamped on directly and partly cut out and glued on. I colored them with alcohol markers.

After I sticking things on, I heat embossed the quote on black cardstock, cut it out and added it as well. - Stamped some grass next to the fence posts

Alice says: if the world makes absolutely no sense, what's to stop us inventing one?

Katzelkraft - They didn't know...

Hi everyone!

It's Katzelkraft day :)) 

Today I used two of the new Stampotique by Katzelkraft stamps - Gena by Daniel Torrente and Sea cube quotes by Tera Callihan. I combined them with stamps from two older Katzelkraft stamp sets - Background circles and Vinci Vitruvius.

The background comes from an art magazine. It showed shells under water. As the paper was glazed, I had to use StazOn Black Jet to stamp on the bubbles/circles, the wings and the girl. 

Next I brushed the sheet with white gesso in places, let it dry and then stamped on some little fish and a seahorse. (StazOn again) --- By painting the surface with gesso, I created an effect of depth between the background and the foreground elements. I stamped little bubbles going up from the girl's mouth and splattered white ink all over the surface. - The background was ready! 

I then stamped the girl, the jellyfish and the octopus on Bristol paper. Colored them with alcohol ink markers and cut them out. Phew, can't tell you how fiddly that was!

I stuck the things on. Stamped the quote, cut it into labels and added these too. 

I colored the wings with gel metallic pens, blue, green and pink.

The blue is actually much lighter than it looks in the photo above. 

Honestly, 

I'm a bit proud of my work because I'm not yet very familiar with the Stampotique brand characters.

Anything Goes with Llamas or Alpacas!

 

I simply stamped the llama (Katzelkraft) a couple of times. Using a mask, it was easy to place them one behind the other to give depth to the scene. I added some confetti and three of the llamas got glasses. I colored everything with aqua markers, alcohol ink markers and gel glitter pens. 

The funny quote I found on Pinterest. I stamped it with single letter stamps and heat embossed two words of it in white ink on black cardstock.

This month we picked another great French movie:

Les Intouchables

The Intouchables

The next 4 weeks are all about Friendship

I stamped the girls (Carabelle Studio) on Bristol paper and colored them with alcohol ink markers.

I masked the girls to create the background (Distress Oxide). Before I removed the masks, I stamped on some grass (Katzelkraft) and a little dog (Catsonappletrees).

The sentiment on the die-cut speech bubble is from Yixuan.
