For my Sistah...

Hello everyone!
Oh dear! Time has gone so fast ....!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Eve and that all of you have received many gifts from Santa Claus! 😉

Here is my last birthday card for this year!

My sister turned 55 yesterday and I made this card for her.
I used the leftover panel from which I cut the letters for the card of this post. I copied the letters onto a second piece of paper, then pressed different ink pads onto an acrylic block, which I then pressed onto the letters on the second panel.
I adjusted the part with the cut out to the colored letters, and inserted a black, glittering paper border on both sides.
Then I took a third piece of paper (a little smaller than the finished card) and stamped small balloons on it. - I watercolored them with the respective colors that I used for the letters.
Before glueing the different panels on it, I colored the edges of the white card base with black felt-tip pen. I stamped the birthday sentiment and added a die-cut balloon.

Thanks for your visit.

Happy Birthday

Hello everyone!
We have another birthday to celebrate!
This time it's Timeo's turn (my nephew's son) - he'll blow 6 candles tomorrow!

This is the card I made for him.

I bought some new dies at Action a few days ago and couldn't wait to try them. For this card I choose the HAPPY die. I used the letters - the remained panel is on the card that I'll show you tomorrow.
I used different stamps and ink pads to color the letters and glued them on a strip of acetat.
I cut a part of the card and replaced it with the acetate. The visible part through the acetate is stamped with water droplets in gray ink. - BIRTHDAY is also stamped in grey.
After that I stamped the critters on the card and watercolored them with felt-tip pens.
The orange balloon is added with a home made stencil.
At last I added some pearl pen dots here and there.

Thanks for your visit!

Merry Christmas!

Hello everybody!

Ok, here we are! - I am one from the new members of the design team at Christmas Card Throwdown.
Officially, we will start from January 2019, but we can not wait to introduce you to our creations. So we're starting right now with a post for the current challenge! - It's just a little reminder ...you still have a fortnight to play with us!

The theme for the whole month of December is "Pick a Previous 2017 Challenge".

I choose Embossed Impressions - Technique Challenge of August 2017

and made this.

I covered a white panel with patterned vellum and a piece of dark grey cardstock - which I had dry embossed before and sponged with white ink. The transition from cardstock to vellum is masked with an orange ribbon from my Christmas stash.
I die cut a circle from embossed cardstock and a deer from black glitter cardstock. Added black string and stuck all this to the panel, which I mounted then on a beige card base.
The sentiment is stamped on a torn white piece of cardboard and sponged with gray ink.

The card goes with a little box - and when you open the box...

...you'll find this Advent wreath!
Here is a similar set that I made last year.

Except the fir twigs and the houses, all the embellishments are fussy cut and watercolored with felt-tip pens. The tea lights are embellished with Washi tape and golden string. They are glued with hot glue for better adhesion.
This small set went to a dear blogging friend as Advent gift.

Note the dark fir - it is cut from a matchbox to light the matches.

Thanks for stopping by - and have fun making cards!

Stamps: Sentiments (Stamin'Up); Cinnamon stick, anise star, slice of orange, cup, pine cone and the candles on the box lid (Scrap Plaisir)
Inks: Early Espresso and Pumkin Pie (Stampin'Up);
Dies: Houses (Stampin'Up); Fir twigs (Impression Obsession); Deer (Hero Arts);
Embossing: Action
Stencil: Scrap Plaisir
Washi, String, White gel pen, Felt-tip pens, Tea lights, Ribbon, Vellum,

Best Friends...

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is

Eight Below
Antarctica – Gefangen im Eis
Antartica, prisonniers du froid

Keywords: Ice/snow, huskies/dogs, penguins, polar bears, friendship, .....true love!

I opted for this Katzelkraft dog and his bone. The boy's leg is a drawing I found on Pinterest, the text comes from Stampin'Up. - I changed the word "branch" by the word "bone".
These are my three ingredients for a simple card, which I hope will spread a little love into the animals world!
... as usual, I watercolored with felt-tip pens ;)

If we had in our hearts only the tenth of love our dogs have for us,
there would be peace on earth!

Happy stamping and thanks for stopping by!

For a dear friend...

Hello everyone!
Another Christmas thing today!

I made this for one of my dear blogging friends, living on the other side of the big sea!

I colored a white panel with alcohol markers in peach pink and splashed some blender and white ink on it. The white star is die cut from white glitter paper. The gray star was embossed with a wood pattern embossing folder before cutting. The deer is die cut from ordinary white paper.
The sentiment is from Stampin'Up.

The card goes with a little box - and when you open the box...

...you'll find this Advent wreath!

I only added stars of different sizes and shapes to keep the wreath in a simple style.
The tea lights are embellished with washi tape and twine.
"NOËL" is die cut from white glitter paper
The tiny brown star is die cut from a matchbox to light the matches.

Thanks for visiting!
Tomorrow I'll show you a new wreath. ... they all arrived at destination!

It's Your Day

Hello everyone!
Birthday card number two ....

Today is my girlfriend's birthday and as I put it in her letterbox myself, I can already share this card with you.

At the moment, I have virtually no ideas for birthday cards! - It surely comes from the fact that I've been making only Christmas stuff in the last few weeks! While browsing on Pinterest, I came across this pretty simple card. - I liked very much, and could not resist reproducing it!

I pasted tiny rhinestones on the hearts,
....and added some sparkle and two tiny bows to the hexagonal frame.
The edges of the white base card are watercolored with blue felt-tip pens. Voilà!

Thanks for stopping by!

Advent Advent

Hello everyone!
We are already counting the days until Christmas and so that time does not seem that long, there are advent calendars. Here is the one I made for a dear friend this year.

I found a beautiful Advent calendar with a tutorial at Paula Pünktchen's blog.
I followed her tutorial, but didn't use toilet paper rolls. All my pockets are made of strong, white printing paper and covered with silver and colorful wrapping paper. Instead of silk paper I used a large ribbon to fix the skewers to the compartments. The numbers were printed on self-adhesive printing paper and punched.

....and as it should be for an Advent calendar, each compartment is filled with a little surprise.

I got this from my dear friend Gundi! - I think she's a little crazy, right? ....but I like it a lot!😉

Meow....

Hello everyone!
No Christmas card today :)

My son loves cats and as it was his birthday, I made this card for him.

I used this cat wearing sunglasses (Creative Images) and watercolored it with felt-tip pens.
I stamped some grass in the background by masking the cat. I colored the ground with alcohol markers and added some more blades of grass  ....because cats like to hide behind tufts of grass! Ha ha
I sponged the sky with Tempting Turquoise (Stampin'Up) and used die cut letters for the Meow.

A little preview ..... Check out the full image at the bottom of this page ;)

Hello everyone!
Six months are over and that means Blog Hop at House of Cards!
Unfortunately, this is the last one .... because House of Cards closes!

I'm writing this post with some sadness, because at House of Cards I gained my first experience as a DT member and I've been in the team for almost seven years - so from the beginning!
Thank you girls, it was a great and creative time with you!

Now to the hop!
It runs from December 1, 6:00 AM to December 15 midnight.

ANY CARD STYLE is welcome and we've got this gorgeous photo inspiration for your crafting enjoyment!

For this Hop,
Bekky's Place is giving away a $ 10.00AU Gift Certificate!

To win this prize, be sure to leave a comment at each person's blog because the prize is hidden and a random draw will be made among these blogs to find it out! :)
After you're done, we would love for you to make a creation to share with us on the challenge blog, too.

Here is what I created...

...with the candle from the gorgeous "Tied Up With String" digital stamp set from Beccy's Place!
I watercolored the candle with felt-tip pens and fussy cut it. I stamped the sentiment on a white cardstock panel and covered it with a sheet of gold splashed velum. I added black gingham pattern at the bottom and stuck the candle. I took a slightly larger white base card and colored its edges with black felt-tip pen. I added Wink of Stella to the black edges, the flame, the mistletoe berries and the string. That's all!

!!! Did you leave your comment?
So I cross my fingers for you and wish you a lot of fun!

.... your next step is Sue N.
- you will find the complete list of the Hop on the Challenge Blog!

Thank you for your visit ..... and good luck !!

Snowman Soup

Hello everybody.
A quick reminder for our current challenge at the Dream Factory - Gostbusters.
It's about ghosts, demons, love and marchmallows - believe me,
you can make very fun cards with it.

I'm back with marshmallows - they fits so well with the winter time ...

Today I have a yummy snowman soup for you.
Just follow the recipe and make yourself as comfortable as possible ...
I copied this Marshmallow snowman by hand from the computer and watercolored it with felt-tip pens. - A little Wink of Stella on it and ready!

How happy he looks, sitting in this hot bath....

...and because

I wanted to see how it looks on a white card, there is also this one with the eraser technique.

Hello, me again! 😉

It's almost the same card as in the previous post, but in white!
Here I added an embossed panel and worked with black glitter cardstock instead of gold.
I stamped the image with Tranquil Tide and colored the berries with Real Red (both Stampin'Up). - Added also a bit Wink of Stella to the berries.
Otherwise, everything is made exactly as on the card from the previous post! - just no gold splatter, and the sentiment is different too! :))

...would you tell me which one you like better?

Eraser Technique

Hello everyone!
I had another idea for the erasing technique that I learned recently from Papierelle and that I've already presented in this post and in this one.

Today I tried this technique on Sahara Sand cardstock (Stampin'Up).
It's not as effective as on white paper, but it has its charm!

I sponged the graphite dust on a small piece of cardstock and stamped the image in dark brown.
I erased the areas of the berries and leaves to regain the color of the cardstock. I colored the berries with white gel pen before fixing the graphite with hairspray. - Some white and golden splashes and it looked pretty good!
I pasted the small panel on a slightly larger piece of gold glitter cardstock, stuck this on the white base card which also got a few gold splashes and added the sentiment.

Clic, clic...

Hello everyone!
No Christmas card today, but lots of photos!

Last Saturday our Stampin'Up demonstrator, Alex (it's a lady), hosted a mega workshop (we call it a CROP), where we created a great photo album. We were about 40 girls and a boy (yes, one dared), and we worked from 9 to 17 o'clock.
We had to keep up with it to be ready in the evening!

Photos are not in it yet, but I still wanted to show you some pictures of my work.

When closed (with a magnet), the album measures 22 x 15 x 4 cm.

The brown part on the left is folded like an accordion and closed by a ribbon.
Five portraits can find place in it.

The second part is designed as a booklet, with small, medium and large pages. There is enough room for 13 to 14 pictures and embellishments.

The booklet on the right is designed to the opposite of the one on the left and there is also room for 12 to 13 photos plus embellishments.

At first glance, it might not look like that, but there is enough room for 30 10x13 photos!
... hope you can imagine!

Thank you for stopping by!

A Christmas hi...

Hello everyone!
Only 4 weeks left until Christmas...

The theme this week at 52CCT is Snow globes.

I used one of the funny Santas from the stamp set So Santa by Stampin'Up.
The snow globe was created by punching a circle on beige card stock. I made sure that the circle was not totally punched out and left 1 cm uncut at the bottom. I folded the punched part forward and cut it at 1.5 cm. - So I had the base for my snow globe. I cut this small part again from red cardstock. I stamped the text, embossed it in white and stuck it on the snow globe base. - Folded it up again, masked the bottom of the panel with a piece of paper and squirted white ink on top. - Embossed the lower part, folded the snow globe base forward and stuck it.
I marked the punched area on a white base card and stamped Santa Claus, watercolored it with felt-tip pens and then stuck the panel with the snow globe to the base card.

Oh what fun it is to ride…

Hello every one!
We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory - this month's movie is

Gostbusters

You can play with ghosts, demons, love and

.....marshmallows 😊

I opted for this cute marshmallow snowman wearing ear muffs to keep him warm while sledding down the snowy slopes on a delicious chocolate sled with candy cane runners! The image is colored with felt-tip pens and the slope is sponged with Tempting Turquoise (Stampin'Up)
The fluffy snowflakes are glue dots sprinkled with glitter. The text is made with two different stamps and die cut letters. The letters are also coated with glue and sprinkled with glitter ....was a fussy job!!
Before sticking it to the base card, I pressed the edges of the panel on the Tempting Turquoise ink pad.

...a closer view of the word mix.
"winter" is colored with silver glitter pen.

Have fun!

Let it snow...

Hello everyone!

I'm back with a new card and this new eraser technique that I introduced you yesterday.
I saw this at Papierelle, where there is also a challenge and a full tutorial to it!
Join in - a cute little snowman stamp is waiting for a lucky winner!

It's so easy to do and requires very little equipment!

No stencil today!

I stuck Washi tape on the edges of the card and sponged the graphite dust on the whole surface.
With the help of a torn piece of paper I set a few darker accents at the bottom.

I stamped the images and began to erase the inner area of the snowman. - Look at his belly, he's white now!

After I erased the snowman and the deer clean, it was the snowflakes' turn.
My eraser is like a pen, I pressed and turned the tip of the eraser on the paper and thick, fluffy snowflakes appeared. This worked really well!

After coloring, I fixed with hairspray and added Wink of Stella to the snowman and the snow hills.

Normally it should have been a one layer card but like a fool I stamped the card upside down!!!
Now I have a two-layer card! hahaha

See you soon!

Who needs snow?!

Hello everyone!
Today I would like to point out a technique that was totally unknown to me until a few days ago! I saw this on Papierelle, my blogger friend Gundi's blog. It's not difficult at all and thanks to Gundi's detailed tutorial, anyone can reproduce it.
There is also a challenge to this technique on her blog - check it out, give it a try and if you link up your card, you might win a super cute snowman stamp!

What you need for this is really minimal: Stamps, ink pads,

a pencil, sandpaper, sponge, eraser, hairspray or some other fixative
and possibly a stencil and markers.

I used Katzelkraft's three penguins and a sentiment from Stampin'Up for my card. But first I applied the stars using a stencil, and the graphite dust I got by scribbling with the pencil on the sandpaper.
I stamped the penguins and then erased all that was inside their bodies.
I colored the beaks, the feets and the eyes with felt-tip pens and added the sentiment.
I used hairspray to fix the graphite dust - otherwise it smears!
I put a cap on the little penguin's head to keep him warm! 😊
Before pasting it on the base card, I colored the edges of the panel by pressing them on a turquoise ink pad.

Did I make you curious? - It's so easy, try it! .... I'm sure you'll have fun!

Joyeux Noël

Hello everyone!
Today I am very excited! - Why? - Because this week I am guest designer at 52CCT!!

I created my card based on the sketch at 52CCT and...

...I absolutely wanted to try my new embossing folder!

Three quarters of a piece of cardstock (slightly smaller than the base card) are embossed with my new toy! :))
....and so that everything goes smoothly, I have already stamped the sentiment before embossing!!! 👍
I covered the unembossed part and sprayed silver shimmer spray on the embossed side (unfortunately not visible on the photo ...even with good eyes), then sponged the edges with gray ink.
I also embossed a strip of turquoise cardstock - this time with a piece of linen fabric, to get that pretty texture that I love so much. - Stamped some stars and snowflakes with Versamark and marked the edges with a quilting wheel.
The Christmas balls are cut from holographic paper and fixed with foam pads.

Christmas is in less than two months  ....maybe you need some more cards! 😉

Vintage Christmas

Hello everyone,
it's me again with another Christmas card! :) ....this time for 52 Christmas Cards Throwdown - Masking.

Like in the old days .....

I mixed stamps of several companies to do this card. Tree (Stampin'Up), cat on the left (Docrafts), cat on the right (Toga) Baubles (Scrap Plaisir). The lady and the sentiment are from a set that I bought on the flea market - I don't know the name of the manufacturer.
To get the little scene, I stamped the two cats first. I masked them and then I stamped the lady, which I also masked, so I could stamp the flowerpot and the tree afterwards.
The Christmas balls were fussy cut after coloring and glued on.
Everything is colored with alcohol markers exept the cats, they are colored with watercolors.
At the end I masked everything again and sprized silver shimmering spray on the card. Unfortunately, this is extremely difficult to photograph and the small sparkling droplets are not visible in the image! ....sorry for!

Thanks for visiting and for your always so nice comments.
