Hi everyone!
Our current “Dream Factory” challenge, which I would like to remind you of briefly, is now entering its second half.
This month's movie is
Mia and Me
We are in a magical and enchanting world of fairies, unicorns,
rainbows, fantasy, magic, pink...
There's not much to say about this card except that I almost messed it up!
I die-cut the horse three times. Once from black and white cardstock and once from a pre-made, already colored background (from a pad). I glued the remaining colored background onto self-adhesive paper and inserted the white horse into the cut-out, replacing some parts with those of the black horse.
I then stuck the colored horse on top and brushed it with Wink of Stella. I also drew a unicorn horn, colored it with alcohol markers and cut it out. Glued it to the unicorn and brushed it with Wink of Stella too.
So far so good!
Now comes the part where I almost ruined my card.
I found the quote on Pinterest but as I didn't have any suitable stamps, I created the sentence on the computer. No problem!
I first printed out the quote on regular paper to see where I needed to place the card to get the quote in the right spot. Unfortunately, I placed the card the wrong way round and the quote ended up upside down. - What a mess! What now?!?! Should I start all over again? ...I was so upset with myself!!!
Luckily, the designs of the pre-made backgrounds from the pad were available several times! So I printed out the quote again - and this time I got it right!
I tore off the part with the quote and stuck it onto the “messed up” card. The card was saved - yay!!!
What's more, I got this irregular white border that interrupts the background, which I really like. :))
Have a wonderful weekend!
