I am delighted and honored to be a guest designer on the AAA Birthday Challenge blog.
The theme for this month is "Anything Birthday Goes".
For the background I have colored with an ink pad a linen textured cardstock with more or less wide stripes. To do this, I placed the Bermuda Bay stamp pad (Stampin'Up) on the cardstock and pulled it over the cardstock with more or less pressure. For the narrower stripes, I used the edges of the ink pad. I then lightly sponged another piece of cardstock and stamped on leaves and dots - always with the same color. I lightly blurred some parts of the leaves with water.
I backed the finished panel with white cardstock and adhered it to the large one, which I had previously embossed at the point above the white stripe.
I then stamped the flowers, watercolored them and cut them out. The open flowers and some buds I did a second time to get a 3-D effect. I embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, cut it to size and adhered it to the card, along with the flowers and three enamel dots.
