Hi everyone!

Time for a little reminder about the current Dream Factory challenge.

The film for this month is

The Sens of Wonder

The film for this challenge is set in Provence. The keywords are taken from the German title. 

So anything with pears, cake, lavender and of course Provence is welcome.

I painted this canvas a long long time ago with acrylic paints, but have never shown it. 

It's about 21 x 15 cm and fits perfectly with our movie, which is set in Provence.

Hi everyone!

Let's go for a new 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge. (Sorry for the little delay of the post).

This week we want you to use an

Embossing Folder

For today's card I utilized some craft gifts.... (Deer die and star stamp)

I used design paper for the die cut deer and the embossed panel. 

To highlight the swirls, I dabbed them with Pear Pizzazz (SU).

  I stamped the stars with Fosillized Amber (Distress Oxide) and added a sentiment in black on top.

Katzelkraft - Whatchamcallit

Hi everyone!

I am back with a new Katzelkraft creation.

Wanted to play along with TAWI, so I used the moodboard colors from the challenge for my tag.

The background is one of the gel prints I made over the last few days. I heat embossed some AALL&Create background text and stamped a few swirls and small dragonflies. The big dragonfly is made of vellum and colored with crayons.

The mouse I stamped on Bristol paper, colored it with watercolors and cut it out. I attached it to the tag with foam tape, as well as the sentiment. Then I glued the dragonfly to the mouse's nose and attached a paper cord to the tag.

Time for a new challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown. 

The theme of this week is

Christmas Food

The background is from the stash - made with the negative impression of a stencil and Barn Door (Distress Ink). I just stamped a few stars with gray ink and applied Wink of Stella to them. 

The Santa (Stampin'Up) I colored with alcohol inks and cut  it out. I foam taped it to a piece of design paper on which I had previously applied a few brush strokes of white gesso to brighten the area behind Santa. Backed this with blue cardstock.

Embossed the sentiment on black cardstock, cut it to size and glued it on.

Katzelkraft - Just for You

Hi everyone!

I am back with a new Katzelkraft creation.

Today also marks the start of a new challenge at the Dream Factory, but since I haven't had much time in the last few days, I had to fit both into one card.

The movie for this month is:

Birnenkuchen mit Lavendel

The Sens of Wonder click

The literal translation of the movie is: 

Pear cake with lavender

So we're taking it word for word with pears, cake and lavender. 

Since this story takes place in Provence, we're also including this keyword in the challenge.

My idea for this card was to use real lavender. To do this, I picked a few smaller side shoots from my lavender bush and flattened them a bit. I stamped the bottle on acetate and colored it with alcohol ink markers. Cut it out and shortened the neck of the bottle, which was a little too long.

I drew fine lines on the bottom of a blank card and splattered green ink in the upper area. I attached the bottle with small foam tape and inserted the bouquet of lavender flowers.

Next to it I added the bottle stopper and the sentiment.

Life is better at the beach

Hi everyone!

A quick reminder about the our current challenge at the Day of the Month Card Club...

There are two days to celebrate this week.

National Beach Day

and/or

National Lighthouse Day

Last week I made a card for the Lighthouse Day and this week I made one for the Beach Day.

For this card I sponged the background with Distress Oxides. Stenciled the sun and adhered sandpaper to make the beach. I colored the images with alcohol markers, cut them out and glued them on or stuck them in the sand. 

Finally, I stamped the sentiment and glued the whole thing on a blank card.

Katzelkraft - Hat das Blümchen einen Knick, ...

Hi everyone!

I'm back with a new Katzelkraft card. 

The funny German saying was the starting point for my card. 

So that it makes sense, I added a kinked flower and a big butterfly.

The background was already in my stash - made with the negative print of a stencil and Distress Oxides. I cut it to size and made stitches along the edges.

I colored the images with watercolors and then cut them out - yes, the flowers too! :) 

The butterfly's wings got a layer of Wink of Stella so that they shine nicely! ;)

I stamped the individual words for the saying with an alphabet rolling rubber stamp and cut them into labels. Colored the edges with black felt tip pen and added them. 

I don't know if this saying exists in English or other languages - probably not, because it rhymes! 

Here's a literal translation, because my English knowledge is not enough for a better one. :ll

Hat das Blümchen einen Knick, war der Schmetterling zu dick!

If the flower has a kink, the butterfly was too fat!
