Haunted Halloween

Hello everyone!
It's me again, because I have a second card for the new challenge at House of Cards!
You know this month we want to see CAS Halloween and/or Colors. (see the inspiration photo below)

... here is the brighter version 😉

I die-cut the Large Circle Burst (Memory Box) into a white cardboard that was the size of the base card.

Then I sponged the base card with Daffodil Delight, Fresh Fig, Pumkin Pie and Smoky Slate (all Stampin'Up). I lightly marked the free space and then stamped the haunted castle and the spider - the bat was added with a handmade mask.

I sponged white paper strips with Smoky Slate, stamped the sentiment, cut them out to separated words and glued them to the card. Voilà!

Hello everyone!
Time for a new challenge at House of Cards!
This month we want to see CAS Halloween and/or Colors. (see the inspiration photo below)

... dark but CAS!

At first I was not very sure that I wanted to make such a dark card but now I adore it!

The base card is white with black cardstock on the top. Before sticking the black part, I die cut the pumpkin and I embossed the bottom edge. 

On the base card, I painted the area of the pumpkin with orange watercolor and glued the black sheet on the card.

I die cut a pumpkin from orange cardstock, accentuated its edges with orange ink, colored its stem and its tendril in green and glued it in the hollow part of the black sheet.

I stamped and fussy cut two small pumpkins and a spider to which I also added some colors.

I stamped the spider web directly on the card as well as the few leaves on the left.

I die cut the letters BOO and stuck them as well as the pumpkins and the spider to the card.

About Nuts....

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to remind you that you still have 2 weeks to participate in our current challenge at the Dream Factory.

The Nut Job

Operation Nußknacker - Opération Casse-Noisettes

You know you can use squirrels, rats or dogs - accompanied by a small hazel nut or nuts would be nice!

I used Katzelkraft's rats and cats to create this little scene. 

The two rats were stamped, colored and fussy cut and then glued on the card. 

Only the cat was directly stamped on the card. 

The large nut was die cut and the small one was hand drawn and then fussy cut. 

I stuck the nuts to the rats and added a bit shade on the ground. The sentiment is written by hand.

I hope you like it.

New school year

Hello everyone!

With a bit delay, I would like to show you what I did for my grandchildren for the new school year. 

Both made a very important step this year. 

My granddaughter entered in the 1th class and my grandson in grade 6 - this meant quite a few changes for both.

This card was for Jeanne (6), the youngest of both. 

I made a mega big pencil for each one, filled with useful and pleasant things! ;-)

I found inspiration on Pinterest, but I did not make it in the same way.

I did not like the open tip of the pencil, and I closed it by glueing all the parts together, then I added a second tip for the pencil lead. - So I kept the opening at the bottom of the pencil. 

I cut the six flaps so that once the pencil has been folded, it will no longer twist or move. - I added a velcro to close it.

I'm sorry not to be able to show you these steps with pictures because I completely forgot to take photos! 😢

Christmas is coming...

Hello everyone!

The end of September is approaching and it's high time that I start making Christmas cards!

Nothing special! I stamped the base card with  firs in two different green (all Stampin'Up) and covered it with an embossed transparent paper. 

I colored a piece of white paper with the same dark green that I used for the background, and stuck a punched pink border to the large edges. I stamped the sentiment and completed with bakers twine. 

To finish I cut out 2 disks, one without scallops and one with. I colored the one with scallops in the same pink as the border of the green panel and stamped the other with gray stars and snowflakes and glued them together. 

I stamped and fussy cut the deer (Hero Arts), pasted it to the disk and then I stuck the whole on the card using foam sticker.

Birthday Wishes

Hello everyone!

I made this card to send birthday wishes to a very close friend.

I stamped a few flower stalks on a white cardstock, cut it slightly smaller than my base card and stuck it on this one. Then I stamped and fussy cut 2 flowers and gathered it with a few leaves to a small bouquet which I glued in addition of a small strip of black corrugated paper to the card.

...and I added some pearl pen dots to each flower center.

Hello everyone!
We have a new challenge at the Dream Factory! - This month's movie is

The Nut Job

Operation Nußknacker - Opération Casse-Noisettes

Mainly squirrels and nuts --- maybe combined with a dog or a rat or a racoon .....I belive they are also very interested in these little crispy things! 😉

I choose this squirrel (Whipper Snapper), which seems a bit dubious in front of so many nuts, hazelnuts and peanuts.

I first colored my image with colored pencils and then with felt-tip pens. .... I have the impression that the image is more nuanced?!?!

Then I sponged the background with Tempting Turquoise (SU) and glued the image to a yellow base card.

Well, I hope you like squirrels and hazelnuts - you have 4 weeks to play with us.

Hello everyone!

I do not know if it's in your habits but here in France, we drink aperitif for the weekend or for a good news, when meeting friends and neighbors or when we have something to celebrate - thus, very very often! hahaha
Today I would like to share this recipe that is super tasty and super easy to do!

Smoked salmon or smoked trout 
Mini croissants

You need:

1 roll of puff pastry - 6 slices of salmon or smoked trout - 1 egg yolk - dill

 preheat your oven to 410°F or 210°C or Th.7

Cut the puff pastry into 12 parts and cut a slit in the middle of each piece at the opposite of the tip. 

Place salmon or smoked trout on the parts. 

Open this slot

 ... roll a croissant without over-tightening and give it the typical shape.

Place your croissants on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.

Brush the croissants with beaten egg yolk,

...and bake for 15 minutes at 410°F or 210°C

Let them cool slightly before serving!

!! You can replace the salmon with ham, which is also very delicious!! 

Spread a bit Dijon mustard on the puff pastry before putting the ham on it and then proceed in the same way!

Autumn Colors

Hello everyone!
Time for a new challenge at House of Cards!
This month we want to see Text and/or Colors on your cards. (see the inspiration photo below)

... here is what that photo inspired me!

When I saw the photo, it immediately reminded me the beautiful  autumn season - warm and bright colors, which you will find on my two cards! The leaves on the first card are die cut from colored cardstock and then glued on the embossed background. I added an autumnal text and a piece of gingham patterned paper.

On my second card I created a little autumnal scene - a tree, a deer and some mushrooms on white cardstock. I stamped the first part of the text below the deer, and the second part of the text on a strip of vellum which I have torn at the lower end. I stuck it on the left, between the panel and the vanilla base card.

Hello everyone!

First of all, I'm delighted to greet two new fans - be very welcome, Kristie and Doris!

...and then I have a new creation with cats from Katzelkraft for you!

This time I worked with the set "les chats russes"! 

The wall is made with a stencil from Scrap Plaisir  (I also used it here). 

I dyed white structure paste with red and brown acrylic paint to get almost real looking bricks and colored the joints in gray.

I "sat" a cat onto the wall and masked it. Then I stamped some leaves behind the cat, sponged the sky with Tempting Turquoise (SU) and added two clouds with the same ink. The two other cats are fussy cut. I glued them to the card after coloring the soil. The whole is colored with felt-tip pens.

Happy Birthday...

...to my dear brother in law!

Hello everyone!

Today I come with a Birthday card. 

I stamped an masked the dogs, sponged the wall using a stencil, stamped the flowers next to the dogs and colored all with felt-tip pens. I sponged the sky in light blue and stamped the sentiment on a white paper strip which I cut and stuck to the card.

All stamps are Katzelkraft exept the wall (stencil from Scrap Plaisir) and the sentiment (Stampin'Up) which means something like: Another year smarter?

It's a cute card but still enough masculine.

Hello everyone!

Fourth and last card for the Muse Christmas Visions challenge.
It remains the beautiful wreath of Cornelia - look what I did!

...so easy to do!!

I stamped the sentiment on a white paper rectangle and embossed it. I die cut the wreath. 

I stamped and fussy cut two pine cones and three holly leaves. I glued all to the embossed panel and then to the base card. I added a few red pearl pen dots to the holly and a tiny bow, made with bakkers twine.

A very quick and simple card.

I colored the image with felt-tip pens and added some tiny fishes. I cut it out and stuck it on a white card on which I first splashed black ink. I stamped the sentiment on a white paper strip, ripped the ends and glued it underneath the image.

I discovered this image on Pinterest .....it was very easy to draw but sorry, I can not mention the artist - I was not able to find him. If anyone recognizes this drawing, please let me know.

Hello everyone!

I'm back with number 3 for Muse Christmas Visions!
For this card I was inspired by the graphic and the colors of Cornelia's stunning deer.

I stamped the penguin three times side by side and drew a garland which I colored with felt-tip pens. 

To recall the black and white border of Cornelia's card, I added two different stamps and drew a black line to give a seat to the penguins.

...a few stars in the sky and that was it!

Christmas Visions # 2

Hello everyone!

As promised, I'm back  with a second card for Muse Christmas Visions.
For today's card I was inspired by Cornelia's cute penguins.

I stamped my penguins, colored them with felt-tip pens and fussy cut it. Then I stamped the mountains on a white card, colored their summits, retraced the firs wit black fineliner and added thick snowflakes using a stencil.

Before adding the snowy hills (white pearl pen) I stamped the sentiment and stuck a strip of washi at the bottom of the card. 

Now it was time to add the penguins, because they already began to sweat! hahaha

....another little sentiment on the upper left and the card was done!

.....I was very inspired 😉  I made 4 cards which I will show over the next days.

Number one...

For my first card, I aimed at Cornelia's "Cookie Card" by using kraft and the colors.

I used Merry Medley (background) and Merry Mice (image) from Stampin'Up. 

The sentiment is from Lora Bylora. I used felt-tip pens for coloring.

Flowers

Hello everyone!
Time for a new challenge at House of Cards!
This month we have a Floral image and/or colors. (see the picture below)

.. and here is what the photo inspired me!

This card was very easy to do! 

I embossed the card base with "Petal Burst"(Stampin'Up).

I stamped three stems and two tulip flowers on a 7 x 9,5 cm white cardstock and colored them with watercolor pencils. I stamped an additional flower on a piece of paper, colored it, cut it out and pasted it with a foam pad on the stalk without flower.

I glued this panel on a larger, eggplant-colored cardstock and added the sentiment. (Docrafts and "Whisper White" Stampin'Up) 

To finish, I tied a bit twine around the panel and stuck it with foam pads to the base card.

Hello everyone!
Just a quick reminder for our current challenge at the Dream Factory. - This month's movie is

Zootopia 

Zoomania / Zootopie

Whether exotic, indigenous or pets, all animals are welcome!

...and you still have two weeks for creating ;-)

This time I used several birds from Katzelkraft and I played with my new stamps from Scrap Plaisir. 

I stamped leaves and an ostrich on white cardstock and sponged a little blue on the remaining white surface. 

I stamped some more leaves in lighter green on an another cardstock, cut them out and glued it above the first leaves. 

I stamped and colored two other birds, fussy cut them and stuck it to the panel. 

For more fun, I added a hat, glasses and a bow tie to the ostrich. 

The sentiments are little words that I mixed together and it says: Happy Birthday ... when do we arrive for the aperitif?

.... at the end it all looks a bit like a collage but I love the way it came out!

A Little Girl's Birtday

Hi everybody!

Confetti, confetti - my nephew's little daughter is going to have two candles on her Birthday cake today!

... and voilà the little card that I made for her

I replaced the balloon that the little dragon originally held against three balloons that I created using ink and a homemade stencil. 

I added a piece of paper and a border that I also designed myself. 

To make the confetti, I tied three felt-tip pens together with washi tape and made small dots all around the image.

The dragon is colored with felt-tip pens. The sentiment says: Let's go...

If life gives you LEMONS

Make LEMONADE



Hi everyone!
Have you already seen the summer challenge at Gundi (Papierelle)? ....It's about fruits!

...so today's card is particularly fruity! ;-)

A few lemons slices and a glass of lemonade (both from Stampo) - that was the basic idea! 

I chose a funnel-like shape for the top part of the card and stuck all lemon slices on/in it. 

... and to get the juice, I added the drop (from Katzelkraft)  😋

I used a piece of potato bag as a stencil and sponged a small white border on the green part. "Whisper White" (Stampin'Up)

...I also added lines of arrows between the white and green area. (Stampin'Up)

I had no matching stamp for the sentiment and my printer was going crazy, 

so I punched the word LEMON, and wrote the rest of the text by hand.

I colored with felt-tip pens.

Hello everyone!

A big party was held last weekend! - My nephew's wedding!

... here is the card I made for the lovers.

First I did a pink watercolor stain on a white cardstock panel. 

Then I added some darker pink splashes. 

After drying I glued the panel on the base card, 

then I added the feather, the twine and the sentiment which says: ... it looks like happiness

I punched the birds and the hearts and stuck them onto the feather, just above the twine.

... Long live the newlyweds!

Hello everyone! 
Today I come with a funny little thing!

A pop-up cube card

This cube can be flattened so that it fits into an envelope or, as here, in a small box. 

As soon as you pull him out of the box, he jumps into its original shape! .... well, he should !

This is how the two flattened sides of the cube look!

I made all the smiles myself. 

Eyes, mouths, eyelids and eyelashes are drawn, colored, cut out 

...and then glued to the punched yellow circles. 

...and now the cube is in its box! 😉

I found the tutorial on Youtube and I had huge fun to do this!!
